Do you enjoy grocery shopping? Do you want to help seniors have food in their homes? Put your grocery shopping skill to good use. Volunteers are needed to grocery shop for homebound older adults. Grocery shopping for a senior who is no longer able to do it themselves, enables the senior to remain living independently in their own home. Grocery shopping for a senior involves picking up a list, going to the grocery store and returning to the client with their groceries. This activity usually takes 1-2 hours and can be scheduled any day any time that is good for you and the client. This is a great way to provide help that is greatly needed and truly makes a difference in a senior's life. You are helping them remain living independently in their own home. Volunteers are matched with clients based on location and are asked to grocery shop for clients two times per month. Mileage reimbursement available.
