Family Kitchen Attendant for Hospice of the Western Reserve, Medina

Needed: Mon/Wed/Fri, 10:00am-12:00pm or 12:00pm - 2:00pm (choose your day/time)
Volunteer will inventory the kitchenette and stock accordingly following the par sheets.
Volunteer will be responsible for checking dates and rotating items First In, First Out (FIFO) and be responsible for discarding expired products, as well as indicating products that are running low and/or needed.
Volunteer will be sure there are no patient items or items outside of the par sheets in the kitchenette. Volunteer will stock the Family Kitchen with coffee cups, sugar/creamer canisters, etc. as well as discarding any items that have been left for a patient who has been discharged or has passed, or discarding items that are not properly labeled with all required information. On occasion, may be needed to run to Buehler’s to get last minute needed items not available in the kitchen at that time. Provide hospitality, refreshment, and convenience to enhance patient stay and/or family/visitor experience. Be friendly, welcoming, hospitable personality, and complete the HWR volunteer requirements: application, interview, (4) 3-hour sessions, no cost criminal background check, flu shot/COVID vaccine or valid exemption, ability to complete timesheet Volunteer Education and other requirements:
Must be clinical volunteer. Complete an application form, interview, attend all 4 virtual volunteer orientation classes. Receive a criminal background check at agency expense. Flu shot or medical/religious exemption needed for volunteering Dec. 1, 2021- Mar. 31, 2022 (peak flu season). Get TB test at agency expense.
