About the Role: This is a hands-on accounting leadership role with responsibility for financial operations across multiple real estate entities. You’ll oversee in-house accounting for select properties, review reporting from third-party managers, and manage budgets, reconciliations, cash flow, and ownership reporting. The Regional Controller is also responsible for the day-to-day management of a small office environment—ensuring operations are well organized, accurate, and efficient. Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting for in-house entities, including CAM/RET reconciliations, lease accounting, and multi-entity reporting. Oversee cash management, budgets, capital tracking, and financial packages for ownership. Review financials from third-party property managers and coordinate with CPAs on tax planning, K-1s, and filings. Maintain and improve workflows using Spectra (in-house), Excel, and DocStar; oversee interaction with third-party managers who operate on AppFolio. Serve as a key point of contact across ownership, managers, and vendors, providing clear, consistent communication. What We’re Looking For
5+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally with property or real estate portfolios Strong background in multi-entity accounting, CAM/RET reconciliations, and lease accounting Familiarity with property management/accounting platforms (Spectra, Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, etc.) Detail-oriented, organized, and effective in a lean, relationship-driven environment Competitive salary and bonus potential Health/dental/vision benefits package and PTO Stable, team-oriented, and supportive work environment Location
