Responsibilities Strategic Storytelling: Craft proactive and compelling narratives through earned and owned media that highlight the company’s developments, leadership, community engagement, and achievements. Brand Reputation & Positioning: Strengthen and protect Related Beal’s reputation as a fully integrated real estate development and investment firm known for impactful, community-driven projects throughout the Boston area. Media Relations: Serve as the primary media contact and spokesperson for Related Beal, building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, outlets, and industry influencers. Executive Communications: Support senior leadership with speechwriting, media training, and preparation for public appearances and speaking opportunities. Content Development: Create high-impact communications materials, including press releases, op-eds, talking points, media kits, and LinkedIn posts. Integrated Collaboration: Partner with marketing, government affairs, and community engagement teams to align messaging across platforms and ensure consistency in brand storytelling. Crisis & Issues Management: Provide strategic counsel during crises and help manage external messaging in high-stakes situations in close consultation with Related Companies’ corporate communications team. Social Media: Collaborate with the Marketing Team on the development of social media strategy and content across platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram to promote thought leadership and business priorities. External Events: Plan and execute external-facing events such as groundbreaking ceremonies, topping off ceremonies, and ribbon cutting events in collaboration with the Marketing Team. A minimum of eight years of professional experience in communications, media relations, or public affairs, with at least two years in a leadership capacity. Proven success developing and executing integrated communications strategies. Experience working with executive leadership and managing external agencies or PR partners. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong media relations expertise with an established network of relevant contacts. Demonstrated success in managing crisis communications. Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
