As a tutor, you can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and impact students’ learning from home. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in HESI and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education preferred. Responsibilities
Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to HESI students via the Live Learning Platform. Adapt instruction to individual student needs and learning styles. Prepare and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons. Utilize Varsity Tutors tools, including AI-powered Tutor Copilot, to enhance sessions. Compensation and Benefits
Base contract rates start at $18/hour; rates increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40/hour. Get paid up to twice per week for conducted sessions and invoicing. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Remote tutoring with no commuting. We handle logistics and payments; you invoice for sessions. Ways To Connect With Students

Note: Varsity Tutors does not currently contract with tutors in: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Puerto Rico. Location: New Brunswick, NJ | $18.00-$40.00 per hour.
