Your Role The role leads and is accountable for Lead Industrial Projects in the USA (Procurement, Operations, Commercial targets, Pricing submission to bids). You will set and manage a team of Project Managers accountable for delivering execution of contracts (from qualification and pricing to contractual negotiation, execution and financial reporting). You will support recruitment of qualified team with support from GHO Operations Team when needed, drive Commercial Pricing activity and targets, and focus on Existing and New business in coordination with the GHO Team, local commercial, and Global experts. You will oversee Operations execution in line with Client KPIs, contractual commitments, and Project requirements. You may participate in the Global IP Strategy initiative and manage your own distinct P&L.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of 20 to 100+ professionals
Direct Operations, Commercial, Procurement and Pricing within the US as Director of Operations in Industrial Projects
Drive project delivery and timelines with clients
Provide overall support on issues related to Industrial Projects solutions to meet customer needs
Grow and develop the client list in coordination with Global, Regional and Country leaders
Plan key supplier strategies with stevedores, vessel operators, and heavy lift operators
Provide financial reporting (Monthly P&L, QBR, Budget) per company policy
Assist with accounts receivable in conjunction with Project Controls
Lead IP team training, development, and growth
Communicate directives, rules and procedures throughout the team and monitor KPIs for activity and service levels
Ensure safety methods and programs are implemented as a key focus
Ensure compliance with company standards among stakeholders
Monitor market opportunities, client development, and vendor asset position
Support commercial management and IP-dedicated commercial team in the USA
Oversee professional development and productivity of regional staff to meet goals and project requirements
Stay abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations in the industry
Qualifications
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Preferred: 15+ years in operations management (EPC, OEM LNG, Mining, Manufacturing). 10+ years in progressively responsible roles
Credentials: Maritime school or Engineering qualification
Skills: Ability to communicate with multi-functional and diverse teams; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures; ability to present information and respond to questions
Characteristics: Responsive to customer needs; team player; ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists and forms
