Director of Information Technology
role at
SkyWater Technology . This position will report to the SVP of IT and SCM and is responsible for the overall leadership and direct supervision of the information technology infrastructure, service desk, cyber security, and support of business applications. The role includes team management, setting the group’s policies and procedures related to information technology, and designing and delivering information technology strategies across infrastructure, service desk, applications development and delivery, enterprise and factory application support, smart factory integration, project management, communication and integration, reporting, and data and network and cyber security. The role also focuses on developing practical solutions that streamline operational and functional processes and workflows using technology, combined with continual process improvement to enhance both internal and external client experience and business results. A consultative approach will be used to identify technology-enabled improvement opportunities and to deliver them. The role will influence and collaborate with internal business partners, vendors, and client executives, and communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders. The Director will support organizational growth, build and inspire teams, and work as a collaborative team member to protect and grow the business. Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with other members of the Executive Committee to help SkyWater Technology Foundry set and meet corporate goals, including the design of the strategy to rapidly grow the company. Develop, recommend, and implement the company’s strategy for Information Technology groups. Set the company’s technical vision and lead the organization’s technological development. Drive a culture of continuous improvement to improve execution and remove roadblocks for teams. Translate business problems to technology solutions. Work effectively across the business to influence and create value. Supervise quality assurance processes, integration, configuration, implementation and system testing. Support IT network and infrastructure using internal and external resources. Establish and maintain network security requirements for corporate protection and maximum uptime and performance. Influence and collaborate to set the IT organization’s vision and strategy to promote a culture aligned with SkyWater core values. Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop the IT roadmap that aligns with and supports the company’s priorities and initiatives. Incorporate new and innovative use of technology and services to support the business strategy and roadmap. Ensure data integrity and security for all IT assets and intellectual property, including business applications, productivity tools, servers, and communication systems; lead the implementation and monitoring of threat detection systems and actively resolve cyber security threats. Develop and drive IT department metrics (e.g., technology spend, project performance, ROI, uptime, internal support responsiveness, asset utilization). Ensure provision of 24x7 support of the technology infrastructure. Attract and retain superior talent; maintain IT career ladders and current job descriptions for each position. Foster an environment where employees perform at a high level; oversee performance management and provide developmental coaching; collaborate to maintain a culture of retention and satisfaction. Regularly assess organizational structure and adapt as needed; communicate and implement changes. Measure employee and stakeholder satisfaction; maintain performance and report results. Oversee annual operating plans, IT budget process, and asset refresh strategies; manage related capital budgets. Track capital and operating budgets; ensure fiscal responsibility within all teams. Collaborate with third parties to develop strategic vendor partnerships and manage vendor relationships and contracts to maximize value and minimize cost. Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred 10+ years of IT or Manufacturing IT department leadership experience Extensive knowledge of project management theory and practice with a track record of leading teams to on-time and on-budget performance Experience with government programs requiring specific cybersecurity protocols and security clearances Experience partnering with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Human Resources, Finance and Accounting to drive cross-functional initiatives Successful collaboration with clients, internal teams, and external partners to solve problems and deliver value Excellent organizational and follow-up skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire internal and external teams, peers and executives Ability to translate technology solutions to non-practitioners and communicate business value Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy to operating plans Strategic, creative thinking with sound judgment; curious Team player and coach Experience designing and managing IT governance across service delivery Experience leading major change initiatives and acting as a change agent Proven ability to build trust through ethical and professional standards Collaborative approach with internal and external partners Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptability US Citizenship Required:
This position requires the ability to obtain government security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Salary:
The annual salary range for this role is $177,440 - $266,160. Pay offered is based on factors including experience, skills, education, and credentials.
