This position reports to the SVP of IT and SCM and is responsible for the overall leadership and direct supervision of the information technology infrastructure, service desk, cyber security, and support of business applications. The role also includes team management, setting the group’s policies and procedures as they relate to information technology, and designing and delivering information technology strategies across infrastructure, service desk, applications development and delivery, enterprise and factory application support, smart factory integration, project management, communication and integration, reporting, data and network security. The role focuses on practical technology-enabled solutions that streamline operational processes and improve both client experience and business results. The incumbent will use a consultative approach to identify improvement opportunities, influence stakeholders, and lead cross-functional collaboration to grow the organization while protecting the business.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Executive Committee to help SkyWater Technology Foundry set and meet corporate goals, including strategy to rapidly grow the company.

Develop, recommend, and implement the IT strategy and technical vision for the organization.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement to remove roadblocks and improve execution.

Translate business problems into technology solutions and work across the business to influence and create value.

Supervise quality assurance, integration, configuration, implementation, and system testing.

Support IT network and infrastructure using internal and external resources; establish and maintain network security requirements for protection and uptime.

Shape the IT organization’s vision and strategy to reflect SkyWater core values and promote a culture aligned with those values.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop an IT roadmap aligned with company priorities and initiatives.

Incorporate new technologies and services to support the business strategy and roadmap; ensure data integrity and security for all IT assets and intellectual property.

Lead the deployment and monitoring of threat detection systems and actively address cybersecurity threats.

Develop and drive IT department metrics (e.g., spend, project performance, ROI, uptime, internal support responsiveness, asset utilization).

Ensure 24x7 support of the technology infrastructure; attract and retain top IT talent; maintain IT career ladders and up-to-date job descriptions.

Foster an environment where employees are encouraged to perform at their highest level; oversee performance management, development coaching, and retention initiatives.

Collaborate to maintain an organizational structure that meets business needs; communicate and implement necessary changes.

Oversee annual operating plans, IT budget process, asset refresh strategies, and related capital budgets; track capital and operating expenditures.

Build strategic vendor partnerships; manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations to maximize service and minimize cost.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.

10+ years of demonstrated IT or Manufacturing IT leadership experience.

Extensive knowledge of project management theory and practice with a track record of delivering on-time, on-budget results across competing priorities.

Experience with government programs requiring specific cybersecurity protocols and security clearances.

Experience partnering with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Human Resources, Finance, and Accounting to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Strong organizational, follow-up, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and inspire internal and external teams.

Ability to translate technology solutions to non-practitioners and articulate business value.

Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into operating/departmental plans.

Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with sound judgment; team player and coach.

Experience designing and managing an effective IT governance framework across IT service delivery.

Experience leading complex, major change initiatives.
