This is an Indianapolis-based role. Pay information
Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Be the HR face to the business leader and partner closely with central Manufacturing functions – Global Engineering & Global HSE; Technical Services/Manufacturing Science (TS/MS); Global Supply Chain & Manufacturing Strategy; and Continuous Improvement. Supervise an HR Business Partner that supports these organizations. Lead in five main areas: Know the Business; Develop and Enable a Workforce Strategy; Bring HR Competence; Balance the Desires of Leadership, Employees and the Company; Lead within Lilly HR Community. Know the Business
Be a key member of business leadership teams with insights into business strategy beyond HR functional expertise for several complex LRL functions that are industry leading or on the journey to become industry leading. Learn the culture, environment and leadership style of the business. Challenge business leaders to deliver bold organizational goals while balancing risk. Proactively assess complex organizations and implement changes to organizational design. Develop and Enable a Workforce Strategy
Ensure multiple businesses have an effective workforce strategy to deliver on portfolio needs. Enable leadership to recruit, develop and retain talent to meet leadership and technical capabilities needed. Provide strategies to ensure an inclusive, engaged, motivated workforce that is appropriately rewarded to achieve long- and short-term objectives. Bring HR Competence
Provide strategic and operational advice, consultation, and coaching to senior leaders on organizational and talent issues. Optimize use of HR COEs and SBP support; bring innovative solutions to business problems. Collaborate with HR subject matter experts (compensation & benefits, recruiting and staffing, leadership development, talent management, GDEIO) to ensure policies and programs meet business needs. Coach direct reports in delivering high-quality HR support. Balance the Needs of Leadership, Employees and the Company
Advocate for balanced needs and priorities of the company, management and employees to enable high-quality decisions. Maintain objectivity to provide diverse perspectives to leaders. Lead within Lilly HR Community
Partner with HR COEs to improve HR services and enable desired outcomes and experiences. Share best practices across HR and develop HR talent through mentoring. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree; at least 4 years of HR Business Partnership and/or supporting HR CoE or relevant areas. Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship). Required Competencies/Skills
Business acumen; ability to apply internal and external knowledge to strategy. Metrics use and development; leverage data to align practices with outcomes. Design thinking; build systematic solutions to solve problems and improve experiences. Willingness to challenge the status quo and increase HR value; agility and prioritization. Experience leading or implementing inclusion programs; workforce management expertise in Talent Management, Leadership Development, Staffing, Engagement. Leadership; influence senior leaders and drive HR transformation; collaboration with HR functions. Courage; balance needs and handle difficult conversations; resilience. Results focus; problem-solving ability; translate strategy to action; work in a matrix organization. Additional Skills/Preferences
Expertise in organization design and organizational effectiveness; supervisory experience; strategic and operational planning; executive team development; leadership development; performance coaching; rewards design. Prior HR SBP experience; global experience; Six-Sigma experience. Graduate degree or MBA in OD/HR/Leadership or related field or equivalent experience. This is an Indianapolis-based role.
