Purpose
The Senior Manager (Partner), Strategic Field Force Deployment drives Astellas’ Partner, Strategic Field force deployment. The team is responsible for managing Alignment and Roster work streams for all APUS franchises. By collaborating with Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Commercial Operations leadership, this role ensures field deployments align with brand strategies and Company goals. It fosters cross-functional partnerships to equip sales teams with resources to maximize customer engagement and drive sales success.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Lead field deployment projects to ensure sales team alignments reflect Brand and Sales goals. Manage end-to-end Alignment work stream for Women’s Health, Healthcare Systems, Oncology, Market Access and Ophthalmics teams. Lead discussions with field and internal stakeholders regarding territory management. Own the management, enhancement and updates for the Alignment Management platform to ensure key brand strategies are pulled through. Drive cross-functional alignment: Collaborate with Sales, Brand, Commercial Operations and other partners, apply industry best practices and manage vendors to support strategic initiatives. Ensure on-time, accurate generation and delivery of alignment files for all teams to downstream vendors. Clear communication of alignment changes to key stakeholders. Manage external partnerships: Oversee relationships with vendors, consultants and commercial partners to support and achieve business objectives. Train Sales Teams: Educate sales teams on the alignment management platform, enhancing their use for alignments, routing and strategic decision-making. Track personnel-related changes to ensure accuracy of field roster, impacting several downstream stakeholders. Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage cross-functional initiatives Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels, including senior leadership and management Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in a Windows environment Experience working in Veeva CRM Working understanding of industry and technology trends, implications and applications Strong communication, multitasking and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset and approach Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Experience in sales force sizing and deployment within the pharmaceutical industry Experience with a roster management process Preferred
MBA in business or sciences Management experience leading teams or projects Strong working knowledge of third-party syndicated data sources (e.g., Symphony Health, IQVIA, Wolters Kluwer, SDI Health, etc.) Experience with Veeva, Cognos, Spotfire or QlikView Benefits
