: DoD Clearance – Secret. U.S. citizenship or eligibility for a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The position is with Raytheon’s Receiver, Exciter, and Back-End Processing (REBEP) Department, focused on receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technologies. The department handles design, development, integration, and lifecycle support of Raytheon products. Role

: This multi-disciplined Principal Hardware Design & Test Engineer role involves design, analysis, and hands-on integration and test of RF components, circuits, and Receiver Exciter subsystems in both design and production environments. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and focused on continuous improvement. A proactive problem solver with a strong background in design, test, and transition to production is ideal. What You Will Do

Lead the technical investigation and resolution of design, build, and test issues identified on Receiver Exciter subsystems, CCAs, and components. RF / Microwave circuit and sub-system design, modeling, simulation, and verification. Integration and test at component, CCA, and subsystem levels. Transition to production and provide technical support to manufacturing and test engineers. Lead small projects or processes improvements within area of responsibility. Lead circuit card and subassembly design updates to resolve obsolescence and producibility issues. This role is 100% on-site and will be based in Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA. Travel between multiple sites including Andover, MA and Woburn, MA is anticipated. Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 8 years of prior work experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 5 years of prior work experience. Experience with Microwave / RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and test. Experience leading analysis / Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations; preferably with supplier and factory issues. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave components/subsystems such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters. Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, including yield and margin analysis. Technical writing and formal presentation experience. Experience leading and growing a multi-discipline engineering team. Experience working in both engineering design and production environments. Experience with tools: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, HFSS, ADS, and related design software. Technical background in areas such as cascade analysis/frequency planning, filter design and fabrication, circuit card assembly and fabrication, high-speed data converter test/characterization, and low-noise RF source design and test. The salary range for this role is $101,000 – $203,000.
