In this essential role, you will have the opportunity to assist or administer department fiscal operations, provide technical assistance and supervise fiscal staff ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures. Apply relevant accounting principles and practices for a variety of transactions, such as revenues, expenditures, transfers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, loans, and inventory in accordance with applicable accounting and reporting standards. Post accounting entries to general ledger accounts using accounting records and other supporting documentation. Prepare and post adjustment transactions to correct or close accounts. Monitor, reconcile, and correct funds, and process transactions. Oversee the fiscal operations of the Armstrong County Area Agency on Aging, including supervision of the fiscal staff. Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch Telework: No telework option for this position Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in some cases You will receive further communication via email. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
