The Outreach Program Manager helps advance Bridgeway Community Church’s mission to build into one another as we build bridges to our community by executing high-impact, culturally thoughtful outreach strategies. In alignment with our core values of reconciliation, evangelism, and stewardship, this role ensures that the heart of Christ is extended beyond our church walls through compassionate service, engaging events, and meaningful community partnerships. This individual supports the Outreach Pastor in developing scalable systems, managing logistics, and cultivating relationships that reflect our vision to be a multicultural body of fully devoted followers of Christ reaching our community, culture, and world in unity and love.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. Occasional evenings and at least two Saturdays of the month will be required, depending on specific projects, events, or initiatives and supporting our Community Cupboards. When such situations arise, the employee will coordinate with their supervisor in advance to adjust their schedule accordingly. Expected work hours may fall outside of standard business hours as requested and/or approved by the COO and CFO, including holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Community Cupboard Leadership: Serve as the key point of contact for Bridgeway’s Community Cupboard, a culturally inclusive food assistance program that embodies Christ’s compassion through food distribution and community connection. Liaise with external partners to ensure all compliance, certifications, training, and operational standards are met. Provide hands-on support and direction to volunteers, ensuring guests and families experience dignity, care, and respect. Manage logistics such as food purchasing, volunteer coordination, delivery schedules, truck rentals, and reporting requirements. Promote the Cupboard’s integration into Bridgeway’s broader outreach and discipleship strategies. Outreach Program Development and Support: Partner with the Outreach Pastor to implement, scale, and evaluate local outreach efforts including jail ministry, nursing home outreach, local events, and seasonal outreach initiatives. Lead project execution for outreach programs and initiatives with strong planning, resourcing, volunteer coverage, and measurable outcomes. Provide administrative and logistical support to volunteer Ministry Leaders, including facility requests, financial tracking, and troubleshooting. Assist with creating engaging initiatives and programs that attract guests, mobilize church partners, and foster relational ministry in the community. Collaborate cross-functionally with Communications, Facilities, and InReach to enhance outreach efforts and engagement across multiple demographics. Volunteer Mobilization and Development: Recruit, train, coach, and deploy volunteers and interns to serve in various outreach programs, embodying Bridgeway’s values of diversity, partnership and service. Create volunteer development opportunities that empower participants to grow spiritually and serve effectively. Encourage a culture of excellence, reliability, and relational care in all volunteer teams. Administrative & Communication Excellence: Manage and maintain guest records for outreach events. Create and utilize follow-up systems using Planning Center Online (PCO) to connect guests to future church events, ministries, and care systems. Develop and maintain program content, outreach collateral, and communications (email templates, social media content, and print materials). Monitor and process invoices, track spending, and generate financial and programmatic reports for leadership review. Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and storytelling assets to promote outreach initiatives. Support Communications Team with branded outreach materials, photography coordination, and marketing efforts. Provide tactical support that frees the Outreach Pastor to focus on spiritual leadership, strategic vision, and teaching; bring strong administrative execution to ensure follow-through on ideas and outreach plans; enhance continuity across campuses through consistent systems and communication. Champion the on-the-ground implementation of Bridgeway’s outreach mission through dependable leadership and creative problem-solving.

Qualifications & Competencies

Proven ability to manage projects and logistics across multiple locations and ministry areas. Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. High relational intelligence; able to work effectively with volunteers, employees, internal and external partners. Proficient in digital tools such as: Basecamp, Planning Center Online, Google Workspace, Canva, and kiosk systems. Reliable transportation and a good driving record are required for inter-campus and community travel. Must embody cultural awareness, inclusivity, and alignment with Bridgeway’s spiritual and organizational mission. Minimum Associate’s Degree, but Bachelor’s preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Hybrid work environment as deemed appropriate by supervisor and approved by COO. This role has certain tasks that must be completed in the office. Travel is primarily local during the business day; however, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required. Bridgeway operates out of two locations.

Travel will be required to either campus location as necessary for ministry or employee events. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
