*We’re hiring!* A leading powerline construction contractor in Northern Michigan is seeking a skilled and dependable *Diesel Mechanic* to join our hardworking team. *What You'll Do*
· Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment (excavators, diggers, bucket trucks, etc.)
· Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to ensure peak performance
· Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems
· Maintain detailed service records and logs
· Ensure all work is performed to DOT and OSHA standards
· Occasionally provide field service and emergency repairs
*What We're Looking For*
· 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience (fleet, heavy equipment, or powerline equipment a plus)
· Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Must have own tools (specialty tools provided)
· CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus (we can help!)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
