The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

*Responsibilities*

* Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar and other brands. * Conduct routine maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and farm machinery. * Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. * Troubleshoot issues related to transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and brake systems. * Read and interpret schematics for effective repair processes. * Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance tasks. * Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle status and repair needs. * Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used. * Adhere to safety protocols while performing all tasks.

*Skills*

* Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diesel engine repair. * Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus. * Proficient in automotive diagnostics with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. * Experience with vehicle maintenance including tire service, alignment, assembly, and equipment repair. * Knowledge of electrical systems is beneficial; soldering skills are a plus. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. * Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is advantageous. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
