We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized *Equipment Calibration & Preventive Maintenance Technician/Coordinator* to manage the calibration and upkeep of critical production and test equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained in compliance with *ISO 17025 standards*, supporting quality assurance, audit readiness, and operational continuity in a high-tech, aerospace/defense environment.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Coordinate, schedule, and perform equipment *calibration*, verification, and preventive maintenance activities across all departments. * Ensure all calibration procedures align with *ISO/IEC 17025 standards* and internal quality system requirements. * Maintain accurate and timely documentation of calibration certificates, preventive maintenance logs, and equipment status records. * Manage relationships with external calibration vendors; coordinate off-site/onsite calibrations and review certificates for compliance. * Track equipment due dates using internal systems (e.g., calibration management software or spreadsheets) and notify relevant stakeholders of upcoming requirements. * Support internal and external audits by providing calibration and maintenance records as needed. * Identify and escalate equipment that is out of tolerance or requires repair; work closely with engineering, production, RMA, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies. * Assist in the development or improvement of calibration procedures and PM schedules for new or legacy equipment. * Conduct light troubleshooting and basic repair of equipment when necessary. Coordinate repair of equipment with supplies.
*Qualifications:*
* 2+ years of experience in equipment calibration and/or preventive maintenance in a regulated manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment. * Working knowledge of *ISO/IEC 17025* calibration requirements. * Familiarity with equipment such as *oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, environmental chambers, pressure gauges, etc.* * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently. * Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); experience with calibration tracking software a plus. * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, calibration certificates, and schematics. * Excellent communication and coordination skills for working across departments and with vendors. * High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in electronics, metrology, or a related field preferred.
