Commercial Decarbonization Technical Lead at Abode Energy Management. Hybrid position ideally for people living in eastern Massachusetts. Develop protocols and training materials for consultation processes. Provide quality assurance reviews and coaching to ensure consistency and accuracy across commercial consultations; act as primary technical support for Decarbonization Consultants and other team members on commercial projects. Conduct decarbonization assessments (primarily virtual) with small- to medium-sized commercial building owners; produce reports and action plans; collaborate with Program Sponsor service providers to leverage incentives and rebates. Assist with program outreach and development; build relationships with building owners and stakeholder groups; deliver presentations; collaborate with partners to develop or adapt educational resources and tools. Attend to other tasks as assigned by the Manager. Qualifications

Strong technical expertise in small- to medium-commercial building science and energy efficiency; typically demonstrated by a degree in building science, mechanical engineering, sustainability or related field, and/or industry certifications (e.g., CEM, BPI/BPI Multifamily, LEED) and/or relevant work experience. Direct experience on commercial energy efficiency and decarbonization projects, including site assessments, scoping/contract negotiations, installation of measures, and commissioning. Experience providing advisory, educational, or customer service support to commercial customers; ability to develop and deliver educational or advisory materials; ability to build relationships with contractors and related industry groups; familiarity with government or utility incentive programs. Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present to groups and work 1:1 with customers. Spanish or Portuguese fluency would be a plus (in addition to English). Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and energy modeling tools; ability to learn industry jargon and translate into clear information. Calm, adaptable, collaborative team player with a proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to manage competing demands and changing schedules. Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary targeted between $80,000 and $90,000, depending on relevant skills and experience. The Commercial Lead will work primarily from a home office with some client-site visits and meetings as needed in Abode’s Concord, MA office.
