Restaurant Brands International is looking for a Sr. Director to join our Burger King Business Development & Franchise Team based in Miami, FL. This position supports the effort to create a best-in-class franchise system by assisting with strategic planning for the Burger King brand, facilitating M&A transactions, and growing the BK footprint through Development Agreements with new and existing franchisees. This includes managing day-to-day franchising cases, sourcing new franchisees, building a bench of potential future franchisees, and structuring and negotiating multi-year development agreements. This role leads financial modeling, diligence, internal approval processes, transaction negotiation, and creating marketing resources to increase franchisee interest. Roles and Responsibilities: Work closely with business unit leaders in developing and executing development and expansion strategies for the long-term growth of the Burger King brand, including presenting such strategies to Burger King and RBI leadership. Market the expansion opportunity externally and attract high-quality prospective franchisees. Build and analyze financial models, outputs, and scenarios to underwrite proposed transactions and deal structuring. Lead and conduct due diligence on prospective franchisees, including in-person meetings and Discovery Days, and coordinate meetings between prospective franchisees and Burger King leadership. Negotiate development agreements with new and existing franchisees. Develop strategies and execute work to build a pipeline for new franchisees and expand existing portfolios. Liaise between Development, Franchising, and Field teams to gather insights and develop strategies for all markets across North America, and drive negotiations to execute these strategies. Develop and deliver presentations internally and externally to executive leadership. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus. 10+ years of experience in business development, finance, corporate strategy, or a related field, preferably in the QSR industry. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and project management skills. Technical and financial modeling skills for scenario analysis and deal structuring. Ability to collaborate across departments to gather data and develop pitches for potential franchisees.
