Managing Director International & Auctions Direct Reports:
Head of Private Client Accounts, US Sales and Retail teams, Commercial Buying, Digital Trading Indirect day to day management
of wider local team including Marketing, Finance & Operations, working within a matrix structure. What you will do
Work closely with the MD International & Auctions to develop and deliver the USA business plan in line with the agreed targets Develop and deliver agreed annual plans and appropriate customer, sales and service performance measures (revenue, margin, customer acquisition and NPS) Establish the Year 1 team for the US operation; set clear goals and targets for both direct and indirect reports, aligned to the overall business plan. Recruit and onboard new team members as appropriate Provide leadership and direction to the local teams, ensuring that hospitality and relationships are the foundation of providing excellent customer service to all customers Support the performance, growth and development of individual team members Develop Berry Bros. & Rudd’s thought leadership to be recognised as a market leader and trusted destination Stay abreast of the competitive environment in market and provide comprehensive and accurate information on the fine wine and spirits’ market Develop strong relationships with the Sales & Service team and functional teams based in the UK to ensure operational efficiency and consistently high levels of customer service Ensure that all working practices comply with US and UK anti-bribery, GDPR and Health & Safety legislation. Your Skills, Knowledge and Experience A smart, energetic, engaging, leader with a strong desire to engage with a start-up mentality; create a hospitality and relationship driven business; focus on delivering the numbers and passionate about helping to establish BB&R in the USA Engaging in a new vision for BB&R US, bringing fun as well as expertise and energy Great all-round business and management skills Will have led B2C sales teams within businesses that have a high service/luxury culture Adaptable to our way of doing business and extremely flexible – we are a start up Part of the next gen of the wine business and wine drinkers who understands the experiential nature required of the current and future wine business Exemplary communication skills, both internally and externally A proven ability to motivate your own team and others Skilled in delegation and coaching, and comfortable empowering others Fine wine expertise not a ‘must’ – better to have great people and management skills Hospitality and relationship building experience is beneficial.
