We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Fleet Engagement and Integration Lead to spearhead the delivery of advanced information warfare capabilities to our Naval, Joint, and Coalition warfighters. As the fleet engagement coordinator for the Joint Fires Network (JFN), you will possess an in-depth understanding of emerging JFN technologies and their operational applications for USN. This role requires a proven leader capable of fostering cross-functional collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring the seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies into the operational environment. A key aspect of this role is championing the Joint Fires Network to Maritime Operations Centers (MOCs) and driving its adoption across USN. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Fires and Authorities process. Responsibilities
Fleet Engagement Coordinator for Joint Fires Network (JFN): Serve as the primary fleet engagement coordinator for the Joint Fires Network (JFN), responsible for maintaining an expert-level understanding of emerging JFN technologies and their operational application for USN and its sailors. Joint Fires Network (JFN) Champion: Champion the Joint Fires Network to Maritime Operations Centers (MOCs/OMIOCs), driving its adoption and ensuring its effective utilization across USN. Fires and Authorities Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the Fires and Authorities process, enabling effective integration of information warfare capabilities into the overall Joint targeting process. LVC Operations Leadership: Support Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) operations across four distinct mission areas, including FLEX experimentation, Fleet Reps and Sets, Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2), and JFN Lab Demonstrations. Support flawless execution of JFN related LVC events and the delivery of critical engineering developmental feedback to NAVWAR program offices. Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and IT specialists to successfully integrate emerging JFN technologies at U.S. Navy’s Maritime Operations Centers (MOCs). Joint Fires Integration: Leverage a strong understanding of the Joint Fires Network and its operational relevancy across COCOMs to ensure seamless integration of information warfare capabilities into the overall Joint warfighting architecture. Model Based Systems Engineering Support: Coordinate with existing MBSE teams to enable the Model Based Systems Engineering team to create holistic naval models that will inform future JFN network architecture design with Naval and Joint Forces. Operational Planning and Exercise Support: Contribute to future planning efforts for Operational Plans and Joint exercises, collaborating with Joint, National, and international coalition stakeholders to ensure operational staff are trained and ready to lead maritime forces in combat. Strategic Communication: Regularly brief Flag Officers and SESs on the status of JFN integration efforts, LVC event outcomes, and the operational impact of information warfare capabilities. Innovation and Capability Advancement: Continuously seek out opportunities to advance the Navy's warfighting capabilities through innovative JFN applications, the integration of technology, and the refinement of maritime operational plans. Cross-functional Coordination: Enhance cross-functional coordination across multiple organizations, including NAVWAR program offices, Fleet elements, and Joint Forces, to enable the adaptation of new warfighting capabilities and Fight from the MOC initiatives. Information Warfare Capability Delivery: Responsible for delivering information warfare capabilities for our Naval, Joint, and Coalition warfighters through research, development, delivery, and support of integrated capabilities. Required Skills and Experience
Ideally, ten plus (10+) years of US Navy military experience as a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proven ability to brief senior leadership (Flag Officers and SES personnel). Proven experience as an Exercise and Fleet Operational Planner. Surface Warfare expertise across multiple platforms/areas (DD, CG, DDG, LSD, MOC, OMIOC). Preferably demonstrated technical and tactical experience as a Fire Controlman and Fire Control Officer. Deep understanding of the Fires and Authorities process from a surface warfare perspective. Experience with Navy’s contribution to the Joint Fires Network (JFN). Prior experience embedded at NAVWAR/NIWC on the Joint Fires Network (JFN) is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Joint Fires Network and its operational relevancy across COCOMs. Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams of technical professionals. Strong understanding of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environments and experience in planning and executing complex LVC events. Passionate and driven professional with a commitment to advancing the Navy's warfighting capabilities. Experience assisting with the refinement of Top Secret maritime planning which support multiple joint operations and potential contingencies. Education and Certification Requirements
