Overview National Accounts Contract Director, Orthopedics – This field-based role focuses on managing large Orthopedic portfolios within national health systems. Reporting to the Area Vice President of National Accounts, this position is a strategic, customer-facing role that partners with cross-functional teams to craft and implement bold system-level strategies through an annual Account Plan.

Collaborate with Orthopedics Field Sales, Offer Development, Legal, Healthcare Compliance, Contract Management, Insights & Analytics, Finance, and Marketing to execute plans effectively and efficiently. Lead efforts in managing RFPs, contract renewals, deal creation, and performance tracking; co-create contract strategies and pricing across multiple platforms and product lines. Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with system-level Orthopedic decision-makers (e.g., supply chain leaders, value analysis committees) to influence system-wide decisions that improve patient outcomes and organizational success. Partner with the National Account Director of Customer Solutions to craft and implement bold, system-level strategies through the annual Account Plan with a focus on revenue growth, pricing strategies, and erosion management across large National Health Systems. Navigate contract strategies, enhance performance, and develop innovative marketing, pricing, and contracting approaches within key health systems; secure access to important product categories and launch innovative solutions aligned with JJMT’s strategic vision. Demonstrate strategic account planning, business insight, data analytics, and effective negotiation to achieve executional excellence and meaningful impact. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred 7+ years of healthcare business experience Proven understanding of the U.S. healthcare landscape, including industry trends, large health system operations, and legal and compliance considerations Experience in account management, contracting, marketing, or sales leadership Critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment Strong financial skills, with knowledge of gross profit, erosion, and pricing impact Ability to synthesize conflicting inputs into clear, executable strategies Deep knowledge of GPOs and healthcare contracting strategies Product knowledge in Orthopedics, Capital, Digital, Robotics, and related categories Strong active listening skills and executive presence Proven ability to lead self and influence others through ambiguity and misalignments Travel: Willingness to travel 30% of the time, with flexibility to balance work and life Location and Travel This is a field-based role available in multiple states within the western part of the US. States where this opportunity is available include Texas, Arizona, Colorado, California, or Washington. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $207,000. The position is eligible for an annual performance bonus based on the applicable plan. Company-sponsored benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and retirement plans (401(k)); vacation, sick time, holidays, and other time-off benefits are also offered.
