Vice President, US Energy Practice Strategy & Growth (S&G) Leader

to drive growth by leading major pursuits, and supporting client engagement across AECOM’s US Energy Practice. This role is hybrid and can be based in Arlington, VA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; New Orleans, LA; New York, NY; or San Diego, CA. This role aligns with East Region and Environment + Energy Business Line strategies, reporting to the East Region Environment Strategy & Growth Leader. The Energy Practice Strategy and Growth Lead will work with the Energy Regional Practice Leader and the East Environment Strategy & Growth Lead to achieve growth targets, drive practice improvements, and increase client engagement. Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of sales for the US Energy practice, including positioning and capture management of major pursuits (Enterprise Critical Pursuits). Lead client engagements and coach sales staff through internal AECOM policies and procedures. Develop and implement tactical strategic growth plans for the US Energy Practice. Build and maintain a deep and diversified qualified opportunity pipeline. Monitor and report on wins, bookings, pursuit progress, and develop full-year Wins and Bookings forecast; track progress versus goals and targets. Support operational leadership in converting strategic plans into actionable tactics to achieve growth targets. Drive consistent application of Work Winning practices related to strategy, growth, and pursuit capture (pipeline development, go/no-go decisions, pre-positioning, capture planning, proposal development, risk management). Identify and prioritize client opportunities; lead outreach, positioning, and delivery strategies for major programs with current/prospective clients and internal partners. Support Client Relationship Managers in developing and delivering growth targets and client engagements for Energy services. Lead, coach, and mentor Capture Managers and Client Account Managers; oversee go/no-go processes and capture planning. Represent AECOM in industry organizations and events and provide input on regional civic spending and national conferences. Lead capture of critical pursuits across electricity and oil & gas markets. Attributes

Proven sales leader with strategic thinking and a deep understanding of electric utilities, upstream, downstream, and midstream oil and gas, renewables developers, data centers, and energy market end users. Ability to influence across geographies and matrix organizations; strong relationship management and consensus-building skills. Strategic and critical thinking with actionable business development execution for new and existing clients. Ability to rapidly understand new issues and make timely decisions after careful listening. Hands-on approach to resolving complex problems; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Willingness to travel on short notice. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in Energy Infrastructure, including 4 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in business development, sales strategy, and pursuit leadership. Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of multiple U.S. energy utility and oil & gas markets (Natural Gas Generation, Pipelines, Transmission, Substation, Energy Transition). Successful history of winning major pursuits and managing complex client relationships. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization. High energy, self-motivated, and results-driven. Additional Information
