General Summary: The Business Engagement & Technology Senior Principal Analyst will be a key technical resource in ensuring the planning and delivery of key COTS and a wide range of custom solutions in support of business partners. The Senior Principal Analyst will partner with business leadership to develop capabilities and systems roadmaps that align to support business strategy. They will ensure team members maintain reliable, scalable and compliant systems that meet business needs through efficient delivery and enhancements, enabling innovative solutions and integrations. This role also manages day-to-day team responsibilities and supports team success and career development. Key Duties And Responsibilities
Become a trusted partner of the business leaders within their remit Understand needs and vision, and deliver technology solutions to support and enable goals Engage as a key participant in strategic business planning for business partners Provide insights on how technology can improve business processes to enable operating efficiencies and achieve business goals Articulate and maintain a technology strategy to support business objectives, considering future directions and changes in the technology landscape Execute the technology strategy by leading evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of technology solutions Develop and maintain a long-term lifecycle plan for ongoing maintenance and management of systems Manage relationships with strategic software vendors and service providers Establish, track and report on project value drivers and financial impact Build and develop a team of Vertex employees and potentially oversee managed services providers Work with DTE Compliance, Internal Audit, and Quality Assurance to ensure regulatory compliance and lifecycle/change management requirements Knowledge And Skills
In-depth knowledge in project management, business analysis, solution design, delivery and training Experience building productive partnerships with business stakeholders and influencing action Understanding of the business, processes, and applicable regulatory environments Proven track record of on-time delivery for large, complex projects with global stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and prioritization abilities, including business case/value propositions Program/project management, demand management, resource management and system lifecycle expertise Experience managing people and building high-performing teams Experience with IT managed services or outsourced/offshore teams Strong MS Office skills (Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with Agile methodology Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in technology discipline or equivalent Typically requires 9 years of relevant business systems experience in Life Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience Pay Range
$158,800 - $238,100 Disclosure Statement
The range provided is a reasonable estimate for base salary at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Overtime pay may be applicable where required by law. Base salary will reflect skills, experience and other factors as permitted by law.
