The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and orderliness of the property and oversight of the maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction in accordance with department protocol. The SMT will collaborate effectively with co-workers, contributing to a dynamic and engaging work environment. T his position will travel between properties in Panama City, Florida and Tallahassee, FL each week.
Responsibilities
Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the assigned buildings utilizing work order related software programs
Responsible for implementing routine physical improvements
Respond to emergency situations in accordance with departmental protocol
Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs
Implement, with Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs
Assist with controlling expenses associated with the operation of the buildings.
Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes
Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct and best practices
Consistently acts in a professional and courteous manner with tenants, hospital client, co-workers, vendors, patients, and other stakeholders, ensuring respectful and effective interactions
Utilize materials, supplies, tools and other building property in a safe, productive manner
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
3+ years of related work experience and technical training, 5+ years of related work experience ideal
High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses
CFC Handling Certification
Strong communication skills required
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Have working knowledge of tools and their proper use and must be safety conscious
24-hour availability for emergencies and as part of an on-call rotation
Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required
Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer’s specifications and written operational procedures
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, and co-workers
Ability to work independently and organize/prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software
