Automotive Production Supervisor

Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements

• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts

• Drive to exceed personal, team, Company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership

• Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams

Skills Required:

• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations

• Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers

• Highly committed to continuous improvement, while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset

• Create a culture of safety and apply and implement workplace policies

• Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively

• Values different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others

Experience Required:

• 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience

• Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends

Experience :

• Safety and quality experience

• Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified

• Knowledge of constraint management principles

• Prior experience managing a unionized workforce

Education Required:

High School Diploma

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree

Additional Information :

·

Process Coaches must be able to work all 3 crew patterns in the plant, which rotate every 3 months, as well as overtime as required.

·

There are occasional extra production shifts on the weekend and Process Coaches are assigned to support those, as needed.

·

The 3-crew patterns are as follows which account for arriving ½ hour prior to the shift starting

o A-Crew: Monday-Thursday 5/5:30am-4:30pm

o B-Crew: Tuesday-Friday 5/5:30pm-4:30am

o C-Crew: Friday/Saturday 5/5:30am-4:30pm AND Sunday/Monday 5/5:30pm-4:30am

It is important Process Coaches arrive before the production shifts begin on the crew assigned and remain afterwards to ensure employees are paid properly.

There are times when the lines will run beyond the end of the shift.
