About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Private Credit and BDC Finance to play a crucial role in overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance for our credit-focused investment vehicles. The successful candidate will take charge of the complete financial close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and fair value measurement, and will prepare and review various SEC filings. This position involves close collaboration with external fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors, while actively monitoring liquidity, credit facilities, and capital activities.
The Controller will be a vital partner to the investment teams, analyzing investment valuations, managing year-end audits, tax filings, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA certification and at least 7 years of experience in BDCs, private credit, or alternative asset management.
A deep understanding of private credit structures, debt instruments, and the BDC regulatory framework is essential. Candidates should have experience with SEC filings, GAAP for investment companies, fund accounting systems, and should be proficient in Excel and financial modeling. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities also extend to strategic and management reporting, necessitating strong analytical skills to evaluate financial trends, portfolio performance, and operational KPIs.
