About Us:
The Donovan’s Venom is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on curating universal accessibility to fine arts and music education for all. We are passionately dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to high-quality music education, performance opportunities, and fine art. We aim to inspire, empower, and uplift communities by fostering a love for music and the arts through our commitment to education, inclusivity, diversity, and social impact, which drives us to expand our reach continually and enrich the lives of those we serve.
We’re looking for a Grants Team Member to join our growing team!
What you’ll do:
Identify potential funding sources, including government grants, private foundations, and corporate sponsorships
Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, including writing, editing, and assembling required documents
Ensure proposals are compliant with funder guidelines and institutional policies
Track and manage submission deadlines for grant proposals and reports
Provide support and guidance to project teams on grant-related issues and procedures
Prepare and submit progress reports, financial reports, and other documentation as required by funders
What we’re looking for:
2+ years experience with different types of grants (e.g., federal, state, private foundations, corporate)
Experience with financial management and budget preparation for grants
Knowledge of grant regulations, compliance issues, and reporting requirements
Knowledge of online grant application systems and tools, including emerging technologies and platforms
Possession of strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Strong commitment to the organization’s mission and values, with a passion for the sector in which the organization operates
Certification in grant management or grant writing (e.g., Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS), Grant Professional Certified (GPC)) is a plus
