About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Dean for our esteemed College of Law, who embodies strategic thinking and collaborative leadership. This role is crucial for shaping and executing a comprehensive vision for the College, overseeing planning, curriculum development, research initiatives, scholarship, and budget matters. A successful Dean will actively engage with diverse stakeholders—including faculty, students, alumni, the legal community, and government officials—to further the ambitions of both the College of Law and the university.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to our mission of cultivating skilled legal professionals, producing impactful legal scholarship, and advancing justice within the community. Applicants must hold a J.D. and/or terminal degree in law and qualify for appointment as a tenured, full professor. We seek an individual with remarkable leadership experience in higher education, government, public interest, or business, demonstrating a solid record of excellence in research, service, teaching, and contributions to advancement.
This pivotal role not only aims to enhance the College of Law's stature and impact but also emphasizes community-building and fostering an enriched public understanding of law. Strong fundraising capabilities and the ability to forge extensive external partnerships will be key components of this role.
