Harmer has been engaged by our client in their search for a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, fixed assets, trial balances and supporting schedules. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset. This position is on a Hybrid schedule and provides excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
  • Support fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
  • Review and analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide explanations
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Assist with external and internal audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries
  • Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations, and procurement
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Accounting with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong GAAP Knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
