Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $60.00/hr

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Iselin, NJ that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with complex datasets, and is passionate about financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the integrity of financial data by recording, verifying, and reconciling transactions
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post complex journal entries with supporting documentation
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and variances
• Maintain subsidiary accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and organize financial data
• Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation
• Support ad hoc reporting and financial modeling needs
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas)
• Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Great Plains, or SAP
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
