HR Generalist Needed for Pet Food Retailer in Tukwila, WA

Location: Onsite in Tukwila, WA
Employment Type: Contract, 1-2 Months
Schedule: 8 AM – 4 PM or 9 AM – 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Organize and scan employee files/paperwork
• Digitize paperwork/records into company HR systems
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR programs
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and ensure data integrity
• Support training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and engagement
• Partner with leadership to promote a positive workplace culture and employee experience
• Assist with HR reporting, metrics, and special projects as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience using ADP
• Previous HR Generalist experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
• High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with a focus on collaboration
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
