Job Title: HR/Office Manager
Department: HR
Location: Onsite
Position Summary: The Human Resource/Business Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, employment law compliance, office support of processes and procedures, overseeing customer care and promoting a positive work culture throughout the company.
Work Hours: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday, some overtime
Pay Scale: $29.00 - $36.00/hr depending on experience
Primary Responsibilities:
- Foster positive employee relations and partner with leadership to resolve workplace issues while minimizing risk
- Lead and develop the office team by mentoring, coaching and working shoulder to shoulder through servant leadership
- Recruit top talent, negotiate wages, on-board and oversee their professional growth
- Handle benefits administration, track leaves, PTO and SOP of the HR department
- Conduct performance reviews, goal-setting sessions and exit interviews
- Support management with best practices of PIP, work comp, one-on-ones, performance conversations, etc.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, assist with scheduling and support day-to-day office operations
- Be the liason between departments within the office to support cohesive resolutions
- Maintain accurate HR records, systems and reports; oversee cmpliance and certifications
- Coordinate continuing education, training programs and professional development
- Build on our existing employee recogition efforts and create team-building and company events
- Perform other duties as neeeded to support the business and our people
Required Qualifications:
3 years in Human Resource Management and Office Management experience is required. To be successful in this key position within our company we are looking for a candidate with a minimum of a GED or High School Diploma and someone who has proven their commitment to a company with longevity at one employer for at least 5 years. This position requires someone with great attention to details who is gently persuasive, highly supportive with a hands-on approach to gaining quick resolution.
Desired Qualifications: 5+ years in Human Resource Management and Office Management is preferred as well as a BA in Human Resources or a BA in business, or the equivalent of 5 years without the degree would be acceptable as well. A PHR or SHRM-CP would be highly regarded.
