Dental Assistant Job at Elevated Dental in Milpitas

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments(including fillings, crowns and bridges, tooth extraction, root canals, implant procedures, etc), ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment areas for dental procedures.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in dental terminology and dental assisting is essential.
• Experience or knowledge in endodontics is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
• Strong understanding of infection control systems and practices in a dental setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
