LOCATION: Seneca, KS
SUMMARY
The IT Specialist II is responsible assisting in all information technology aspects of the company.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Includes the following and other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for:
- Installing, maintaining and modifying data communication systems.
- Providing support and resolving issues and requests in person, over the phone, by email, or through remote desktop software for the use and operations of complex computer operating systems.
- Providing maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, and installing hardware and software solutions.
- Troubleshooting software issues related to Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and other desktop applications.
- Providing support for Laptop, Desktops, Printers, Fax, Scanners and Smartphones.
- Providing support of LAN/WAN hardware and software for switches, hubs, routers, bridges, modems, multiplexors, point-to-point for audio and video.
- Configure, maintain, and support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or comparable enterprise cloud productivity solutions.
- Support integrations and operations of SaaS ERP and CRM platforms; escalate or coordinate with vendors/service providers as necessary.
- Perform system monitoring, log analysis, and preventative maintenance across servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Administer user identities and access management across on-premise and cloud platforms (Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, MFA solutions).
- In depth knowledge of network operations best practices, production support, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure including switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Manage hardware lifecycle for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices (imaging, patching, replacement).
- Support and maintain printers, copiers, multifunction devices, and print server configurations.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users on new tools, security awareness, and IT processes.
- Maintain data backup, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity processes.
SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for:
- Some operational support of Cloud Based Service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) platforms. (AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud, etc.)
- Operational support of Cybersecurity and Endpoint management platforms such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne Etc.
- Monitor security events and assist in incident response in coordination with IT Security teams.
- Maintain data backup, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity processes.
- Configure, maintain, and support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or comparable enterprise cloud productivity solutions.
- Support integrations and operations of SaaS ERP and CRM platforms; escalate or coordinate with vendors/service providers as necessary.
- Perform system monitoring, log analysis, and preventative maintenance across servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Administer user identities and access management across on-premise and cloud platforms (Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, MFA solutions).
May also be asked to participate in:
- Participate in CapEx and OpEx initiatives, serving as a technical subject matter expert on technology modernization, migrations, and upgrades.
- Assist with planning and deployment of IT infrastructure expansions, SaaS rollouts, or vendor integrations that require collaboration across Finance, HR, Operations, and other business units.
- Research, evaluate, and provide recommendations for IT solutions that enhance productivity, system reliability, or cost efficiency.
- Contribute to vendor selection, licensing negotiations, and supplier relationship management under the direction of IT leadership.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and best-practice guides for both operational and project purposes.
- Perform data gathering and reporting to support department budgeting and technology lifecycle analysis.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Demonstrated knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Proficiency with IT service management (ITSM) tools and ticketing workflows.
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM SaaS environments (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace enterprise environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across hardware, software, and integrations.
- Experience administering endpoint management or MDM solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne etc.).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma and 3–6 years of progressively responsible IT support/administration experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and weights.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION
This position does not require certificates, licenses and/or registration.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to deal with problems with several concrete variables in standard situations.
