POSITION SUMMARY This Graduate Assistant position involves working with Prof. Marcia Pasqualini in the Psychology department at Avila University. The position is for 10 hours per week (for 4 credit hour tuition remission per semester) for Fall 2025, with the possibility of continuing for Spring 2026.
Responsibilities: •Responsibilities will include working on research projects and helping with undergraduate activities, potentially including the following: o Attend lab meetings (Thursdays 4 - 5:30 pm) o Learn how to use specific aspects of psychophysiological equipment for research study on heart rate variability o Help recruit for and run participants for research studies o Assist with studies related to people with Parkinson's disease and similar disorders o Help manage datasets o Help review/edit research documents o Assist with Psi Chi/Psychology Club o Assist with class activities in undergraduate biopsychology course
Qualifications: •Must be admitted and enrolled in a graduate program at Avila University. International students are not eligible for graduate assistantships. •Admitted and enrolled in the MS Counseling Psychology program at Avila University •Interest in clinically-relevant research •Previous experience with research, SPSS, Excel, clinical interventions, and/or psychophysiology equipment is helpful, but will train as needed. •Strong organizational and time management skills. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Ability to work independently and collaboratively. •Attention to detail and accuracy.
