Position Summary : Were seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy CNC Machinist to operate high-performance Haas CNC machines, program using Fusion 360, and leverage both 4th-axis rotary machining and additive (3D printing) capabilities to produce precision components. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong programming skills, precision machining practices, and a deep understanding of both subtractive and additive workflows.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and complete reverse-engineering of surgical instruments to develop accurate machining strategies.
Program CNC operations using Fusion 360 CAM, including 2.5 to 4 axis toolpaths and customized Haas-compatible post-processing.
Set up and operate Haas CNC machines, including installation of tooling, fixtures, and managing machine setup.
Execute machining utilizing 4th-axis rotation, including sophisticated operations around a rotary axis.
Program and run repetitive operations using canned cycles (e.g., drilling, tapping, pocketing).
Oversee 3D printing workflows, including slicing and generating G-code for additive manufacturing tasks.
Measure and inspect finished parts with tools such as micrometers, calipers, and surface testers to ensure tolerance and finish integrity.
Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot programming or mechanical issues, and implement adjustments to maintain product quality.
Collaborate effectively with engineers, programmers, and quality teams to optimize production and support continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications

Proficiency with Fusion 360 CAM, including post-processor configuration for Haas and multi-axis operations.
Hands-on experience with 4th-axis or rotary table machining.
Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and the of G-code from slicers.
Solid understanding of G-code, including G- and M-codes, and experience with canned cycles (e.g., G81G89).
Strong grasp of machinist terminology such as roughing, finishing, speeds and feeds, tool offsets, and cutter compensation.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD/CAM models accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and adherence to safety practices.
Qualifications
Experience in disassembling, measuring, and drawing surgical instruments components, including tight-tolerance components, and surgical-grade materials (e.g., stainless steel, titanium).
Familiarity with hybrid additivesubtractive workflows or HASM processes.
