EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Manager
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager Kansas City, MO Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced EHS Manager to lead and oversee all environmental, health, and safety initiatives across our operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of safety, and implementing programs that protect employees, the community, and the environment. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken. Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; track and report safety metrics. Manage environmental compliance programs including waste management, air and water quality, and sustainability initiatives. Deliver training programs on safety practices, emergency response, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership to promote a strong safety culture. Maintain records and documentation for OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies. Stay current on EHS regulations and industry best practices; recommend improvements and innovations. Support emergency preparedness and crisis management planning. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in [industry, e.g., manufacturing, logistics, chemical]. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations. Experience conducting audits, training, and incident investigations. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in EHS management systems and reporting tools.
