S&S Employment Partners is hiring: Journeyman Electrician in Des Moines

Our client is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join their leadership team.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $60,000 plus commission, based on your experience.

Some of your responsibilities as Journeyman Electrician will include:

• Supervising/coordinating activities of crews on job sites
• Revieing blueprints and plans
• Troubleshooting issues
• Enforcing compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
• Keeping detailed records
• Working with project managers
• Mentoring junior electricians
• Meeting with customers to discuss project needs

To qualify for Journeyman Electrician, you will need at least 4 years of residential construction wiring experience as well as:

• State of Iowa Journeyman Electrician license
• 1 year of experience in electrical supervision or a similar role
• Understanding of local/national electrical codes
• Strong ability to manage many projects and teams
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Able to read/interpret blueprints
• Basic computer operations and software proficiency
• Ability to type 35+ words per minute
