POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President, University Partnerships & High School Counseling and Advising leads Hudson Global Scholars' university relationship strategy, high school counseling, and university advising program. This role drives the development and management of HGS' global university partnerships—including pathways programs and bespoke relationships with English-speaking universities worldwide—while overseeing a comprehensive counseling and advising framework for international students.
Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, the Vice President ensures consistent, high-quality support for students' academic and post-secondary planning needs while advancing HGS' mission to prepare students for success in higher education and life.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS University Partnerships & Higher Education Initiatives
Manage HGS' higher education pathways partnerships.
Develop and maintain university partnerships inside and outside of the U.S. to expand and curate higher education offerings, ensuring HGS graduates have compelling and attainable options.
Represent HGS at international conferences, university fairs, and events.
Stay current on global trends in higher education admissions and international student mobility.
High School Counseling & University Advising
Define and develop the company's comprehensive counseling and advising framework in alignment with HGS' vision, mission, and goals.
Lead and manage the university advising team, ensuring successful implementation of counseling and advising services that meet company goals and KPIs.
Design, develop, and oversee high-quality curricula, content, protocols, and resources for students and families.
Conduct capacity planning for counseling staff based on student pipelines, metrics, and projections.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative measures.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Communicate effectively with students, families, and school leaders about counseling and university advising services.
Collaborate with internal and external leaders, teachers, and parents to support student success and continuous improvement.
Partner with senior leadership on program strategy, tracking, and reporting.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Education, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience with extensive background in high school counseling and/or university advising, and proven leadership experience.
Certification/licensure in school counseling or university advising preferred.
Experience in international education settings and familiarity with global education and university systems.
Senior leadership experience in an educational organization.
Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing teams, implementing new programs, and achieving KPIs.
Proven ability to analyze program effectiveness and adapt or innovate as needed.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with capacity to strategize and lead during growth or challenge.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and intercultural skills.
