Overview of Role
Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid role; in-office required weekly). The Procurement & Supply Chain Assistant will support the day-to-day functions of procurement & supply chain management, ensuring efficient and effective acquisition of goods & services for major data center clients. The role will support supplier onboarding, procurement planning, RFP management, supplier relationship management & contract administration. They should have the ability to identify opportunities within a project that will add value and help successfully accomplish the clients desired project outcome. Essential Functions Manage Supply Chain tools and systems that communicate with other departments. Support the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager in preparing supply chain reports, documenting risks, challenges, opportunities & milestones. Manage current production schedules and support tracking/overseeing OFE (Equipment) budgets. Update and maintain OFE program to track and manage all elements of procurement activities in real time. Own and maintain all administrative duties associated with Aligned construction/procurement projects to include, but not limited to: Request for Purchase Orders, Request for Change orders. Assist in the collaboration of project budgets according to project controls and processes, working within the cost tracking system. Assist in the collaboration of project schedules according to project controls and processes, working within the cost tracking system. Work closely with various Department/Teams to report out supply chain activities including delays and constraints. Oversee and manage all supply chain activities assigned. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned.
The Procurement & Supply Chain Assistant demonstrates a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 1 year of experience in data centers, procurement, and/or commissioning is a plus. Familiarity with data center hardware procurement (e.g., servers, networking equipment, racks, power systems). Understanding of IT infrastructure and platform delivery lifecycles. Knowledge of sourcing strategies for high-volume or mission-critical components. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Experience using procurement or supply chain platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba). Advanced Excel skills and comfort with data analysis and inventory management tools. Experience supporting international procurement and logistics coordination (preferred). Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC2) as they relate to hardware sourcing or vendor management (preferred).
