The Supplier Quality Engineer I for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, ensuring that all products and materials meet our rigorous quality standards. This role requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement, problem-solving, and supplier development. This position is part of the Manufacturing Quality Team located in Miami and will be an on-site position. You will be a part of the Miami Supplier Quality Team and report to Manager of Supplier Quality supporting the Miami Instrument & Reagent Manufacturing Operations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Oversee and manage the supplier quality assurance process, including audits, performance evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies as well as collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies related to supplier quality. Maintain comprehensive records of supplier files including: performance, audits, onboarding, quality metrics, supplier changes, supplier corrective actions (SCARs) and ensuring accuracy and availability for internal and external reviews. Work closely with engineering, procurement, incoming inspection, and production teams to align supplier capabilities with company needs. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 0 to 2 years experience working in an engineering environment, preferably a regulated environment. Great written and oral communication skills. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and working with databases. Fast learner who's able to solve problems quickly while continually improving and innovating. Ability to travel up to 10% for supplier site visits. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Sheet metal parts design and fabrication process. Mold design for plastic parts and material experience.
