Description The Product Manager is responsible for managing the department for the assigned software. This includes strategic product planning and marketing, managing product deliverables, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the engineering team to deliver winning product solutions. The Product Manager will work with the management team, sales, marketing and support personnel to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are attained and the product and marketing efforts support Burns & McDonnell overall strategy and goals. Define and present for approval the product strategy and roadmap.

Develop technical requirements for products by working with stakeholders (both internal and external) as needed, ensuring that stakeholder and market needs are attained.

Work with technical teams to develop and refine the product technical parameters to ensure successful product solutions are delivered.

Evaluate external partnerships, marketing, sales, and licensing opportunities.

Provide technical and industry expertise with respect to the competition.

Develop and present the core positioning and messaging for the product marketing.

Compile and present business plan to secure internal and external financing within established risk and financial parameters.

Perform product demonstrations to customers in a variety of settings.

Research, propose, and set product pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.

Compile and present monthly financial information including sales and revenue forecasts.

Develop and implement sales tools and collateral.

Propose and adhere to an overall budget to ensure financial success of products.

Develop and present sales briefings and training programs for quarterly sales meetings.

Support the product after sales, including warranty and maintenance programs.

Present at industry conferences

Develop and implement product tracking metrics and tools to evaluate product performance.

Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to the department.

Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.

Manage sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.

5 years of experience in product management.

Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or ability to achieve preferred.

Expert experience in investigating, evaluating, selecting, and driving the development of products for an organization.

Strong facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.

Proven experience having led and completed projects from business proposal through post-production support preferred.

Ability to filter and distill relevant information and convey business and technical concepts to a diverse client base and internal technical teams.

Proven track record of successful product development and management, including experience developing product roadmaps and leading cross-functional teams strongly preferred.

Strong planning, analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across functions and teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with agile development methodologies and tools preferred.
