UI/UX Human Factor Developer, Senior

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a UI/UX Human Factor Developer within our Intel sector, advancing the national security mission through cutting-edge technology. We are seeking individuals with a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging their knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The UI/UX Human Factor Developer focuses on designing user interfaces and experiences that are both effective and enjoyable, while also considering human capabilities and limitations. They bridge the gap between technology and human users by applying principles of psychology, engineering, and design to create user-friendly and efficient systems. This position is located in USA VA Arlington. Key Responsibilities

Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to understand user needs and behaviors. Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of user interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive and aligned with user expectations. Evaluate the usability of designs through testing and feedback, identifying areas for improvement. Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement and refine designs. Apply human factors principles (e.g., cognitive load, perception, motor skills) to design systems that are safe, efficient, and comfortable for users. Document design decisions, research findings, and usability test results. Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or 5 to 8 years of experience. TS/SCI with CI Poly. UX/UI Design: Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and visual design. User Research: Experience with various research methods, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing. Human Factors: Knowledge of human capabilities, limitations, and cognitive processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively and present findings. Ability to identify and solve usability issues and propose creative solutions. Familiarity with design tools (e.g., PenPot, Adobe Creative Cloud) and basic coding skills.
