SAP Financial Functional Analyst I
SAP Financial Functional Analyst I is responsible for providing ongoing maintenance and enhancement for the SAP/BPC software products. Essential functions include supporting the implementation and ongoing use of SAP systems including S4HANA within the FICO functions of SAP, specifically in the areas of Financial Accounting and basic Controlling. The role involves understanding business needs and applying the correct configuration to satisfy those needs. The analyst works with user and development groups to identify and document basic system recommendations for current and future development. They assist in the development of SAP knowledge/competency in super users and subject matter experts throughout the business and assist IT in resolving software support issues. The analyst collaborates with external consultants to provide assistance to users regarding processes and procedures and ensures business efficiencies out of SAP. They work with members of the Enterprise SAP support team, Business Process Managers, and end users to determine the effectiveness of existing training materials and identify and implement appropriate changes. The analyst participates in cross-functional teams to discuss system issues and help implement identified solutions, manages ticket processing systems, and executes requests for master data creation or changes within SAP & BPC. They serve as a resource for end users and troubleshoot minor break/fix scenarios in SAP systems, have a good understanding of allocation functionality, and work to build and maintain allocation structures. The analyst uploads files into SAP or other systems and troubleshoots file issues, monitors daily and ad hoc refresh activities, and troubleshoots any system failures. They provide training to end users, perform regression testing, disaster recovery testing, and testing of ongoing SAP/BPC changes, participate in system upgrades or enhancement implementation, and create SOP's/training documentation for job duties. They perform any other job-related instructions as requested. Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent work experience is required. One (1) year of SAP experience is required. Two (2) or more years in accounting or finance are preferred. One (1) or more years experience in business analysis skills and the ability to solve complex business problems by using information technology and business intelligence software are preferred. Competencies, Knowledge and Skills: Complete understanding of business processes and SAP FICO. Knowledge of key integration points with FICO modules. Familiar with a variety of analysis concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and with others. Critical thinking/listening skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of management. Detail oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical customers. Experience in problem solving and change management. Ability to function as a business partner for functional management. Must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to customer service. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
