Senior Engineering/PLM Systems Administrator

This role is dedicated to optimizing CAD/PLM tools to streamline engineering design, analysis, product development, and product maintenance processes. The (Senior) Engineering/PLM Systems Administrator identifies opportunities for improving CAD/PLM systems and processes, develops strategic plans to meet current and future system requirements, manages software upgrades, and provides guidance on necessary computer training. This position also plays a key role in delivering training on current CAD/PLM systems. The role reports to the Director of Global Engineering Systems. Essential duties and responsibilities include analyzing engineering system information requirements, implementing and supporting internal tools and systems, working closely with engineering teams to implement customized CAD/PLM workflows, implementing system upgrades, developing practices and processes aligned to enhancing the performance and efficiencies of the Engineering Systems tools, and collaborating with internal engineering systems team members, manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to optimize the most unique and complex systems designs and technologies. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems with 10 years of experience in a similar role -OR- 15 years of experience in a similar role. Strong experience with Engineering Systems Administration on PTC Windchill, capturing Business Requirements related to CAD/PLM, and delivering technical training and presentations is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with PLM systems, excellent verbal and written skills, broad systems design experience with a variety of applications, and working knowledge of several of the following: PTC Options and Variants, MPM-Link, ThingWorx, SUMA, Middleware development, Creo, other PTC products, and other Product Development solutions. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include extensive administrative knowledge of Windchill, Creo, and related tools, knowledge of SAP and/or other ERP solutions, demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes related to data management, ability to capture business needs and transform them into business requirements, strong organizational, written, oral and professional skills, extensive experience in multiple programming languages, high level of business acumen, strong decision-making skills, and ability to influence others without direct authority and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
