Part-Time CDL Driver for Local Deliveries

Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour Join our team as a Part-Time CDL Driver! We are looking for dedicated drivers to handle the delivery and pickup of containers while ensuring exceptional service and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a commercial truck with a specialized lift mechanism for loading and unloading containers. Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment. Accept additional delivery requests as needed to adapt to business demands. Utilize company handheld devices for delivery verification and routing. Operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes as required. Ensure containers are clean and presentable for our customers. Handle rental paperwork and coordinate with customers for payments. Maintain a clear line of communication with management regarding any customer queries or issues. Perform minor repairs on containers and equipment in the field and at storage centers. Assist with other storage center operations when necessary. Maintain a tidy truck cab for a professional appearance. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid CDL Class B License. At least 3 months of driving experience with our organization. Completion of Level 2 training course with passing scores. Must have a current/valid drivers license and meet specific driver qualification standards (no violations in the last 3 years). Aged 21 or older due to insurance requirements. Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain one. Proficient in using electronic devices and software. Basic math skills are required to carry out job responsibilities. Physical Requirements: Ability to operate a CMV and forklift, remaining stationary for prolonged periods. Frequent climbing in and out of the truck and forklift. Capability to position oneself to deliver containers efficiently. Occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Visual acuity for parking and navigating tight spaces. Good hand dexterity for writing, operating vehicles, and using equipment. Effective communication skills to interact with customers and coworkers. Working Conditions: Shift start times may vary; availability on weekends may be required. Responsibilities are within designated location territory. Work may take place in various weather conditions; storage centers are typically not climate-controlled. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
