Project Manager – Product Development & Manufacturing
Location: North Central, MA | Full-Time | On-Site
We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead the development and launch of new manufacturing projects from concept to production. This is a hands-on role managing timelines, technical requirements, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
You’ll be the primary technical and customer interface driving projects forward—from quoting, Injection mold tooling, and assembly automation to validation, documentation, and release to manufacturing.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead development projects and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Work with internal and external resources to research, design, and develop all of the necessary elements of the project – molds, tooling, processes, automation, fixtures, End of Arm Tools (EOAT), secondary equipment, etc.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to meet customer requirements .
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, gathering requirements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee mold design, process development, automation integration, and validation testing.
- Maintain accurate Device Master Record (DMR) documentation and ensure readiness for manufacturing transfer.
- Apply project management best practices : timelines, action items, meeting minutes, and clear communication.
- Provide ongoing internal support after release to manufacturing, resolving any emerging issues.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Plastics preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or plastics (Injection Molding experience strongly preferred).
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
