About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for an LTAC/Rehab Hospital in the eastern TN area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as an acute care hospital Manager or Director, with a focus on specialty hospital experience. The CNO will be responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 70 FTEs and 30 PRN staff, and must have at least 2 years of leadership experience in a relevant role. Candidates with a background in Med/Surg/Wound Care, Trauma, Critical Care (ICU), or Telemetry are preferred. A BSN is required, and the candidate must have an MSN or equivalent Masters in Healthcare, or be enrolled in a Master's program. Additionally, 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience and 3 or more years in a managerial or supervisory capacity are preferred.
The successful CNO will be a key member of the hospital's leadership team, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the nursing department. The role involves direct supervision of nursing staff, as well as collaboration with other departments to maintain the overall standards of the hospital. The CNO will also be responsible for the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, and for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the nursing team. BLS certification is required, and ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
