About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Administrative Services to serve as the Chief Fiscal Officer and Treasurer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing inclusive, strengths-based leadership to support faculty and staff in resource management and problem-solving. This role involves overseeing the College's financial systems, developing and maintaining budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial management principles and government regulations. The Vice President will also be a key member of the President's Cabinet, engaging in shared governance practices, and making strategic recommendations to the President.
Applicants must have an M.B.A. or Master's degree in a relevant discipline, a proven track record in budget planning and management, and at least 5-7 years' experience in financial management and administration. The role requires excellent communication skills, a commitment to the mission of a community college, and a consensus-building leadership style. Experience in contract negotiation, particularly in a labor context, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse student body and staff are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in higher education, facilities planning, and a CPA or professional certification. The Vice President will also be involved in crisis management, benefit program administration, and legal activities, and is expected to maintain a diverse and inclusive work environment.
