About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Operations to provide strategic leadership and direct support in the management of non-academic functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for budget planning and management, facilities planning and management, emergency and safety planning/management, and computing services management. This role also involves acting as a liaison with the VCCS Shared Services Center and ensuring effective coordination of essential administrative projects. The Vice President will be a key member of the President's Cabinet Leadership Team, working to create an environment of excellent customer service and managing college operations to support the teaching and learning mission.
Applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field and extensive experience in accounting, budgeting, fiscal management, and oversight of physical plant and construction projects. The role requires a candidate with a collaborative leadership style, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. Responsibilities include serving as an advisor to the College's Local Board and College Leadership, managing fiscal resources, and leading college-wide administrative functions. A CPA, college business office experience, and knowledge of higher education administration are preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial planning and analysis, policy development, and strategic planning initiatives.
